By now, you realize a lot of my time is spent on social media, since that is where I work. I know a lot of you do as well, so I thought it could be helpful to share some of my favorite business apps, and design apps with you. I am always adding more apps that help keep me organized, or just make graphic designing easier. The simpler, the better for me!

First up, Unfold, I have the free version, and can do everything I want to do, because I like to keep it simple. This is how I make the majority of my Instagram stories. I like them to look “clean”, and this helps a lot. It does take a little extra work, but I promise it’ll be more aesthetically pleasing. Yes, I still post somethings on a whim, because kids, life, whateva. I use Unfold to try and plan ahead, as you can label the stories you make, so I put dates on when they need to be posted!

Now, Split Video. Gah, why does Instagram only let you record four slides at a time. #hater. Spit Video makes it easy. You just record your video on your phone, upload it to the app, then decide what length each clip needs to be. For Instagram it needs to be 15 seconds. It will then save your clips to your phone, and you can directly upload to your Instagram stories. Badabing badaboom. Too easy.

WordSwag. One of my favorite, and easiest apps to make graphics. This is what I use for my “cover photos” for this blog. There are professional photos within the app that you can use, or you can upload your own, and chose from a bunch of different text fonts, and colors. WordSwg has all the different social media graphic sizes, so it’s perfect for banners, blogs, Instagram, stories, Facebook, Pinterest, etc. This is probably my most used app.

Along with Word Swag, I like PicCollage. You can customize a lot with this one, and it is also free. Cut out pictures, add text, add multiple pictures, stickers, doodle, and so much more. Obvi, there is even more you can do if you decide to purchase, but I don’t think that is absolutely needed for what I use it for.

ReShare story, I’m a big fan of this, because my team has some awesome content, and now I don’t always have to message or text asking them to send me their graphics! I can just login to this app, and share their stories myself. Now, be careful with this one, you do not want to take graphics or videos without permission. You can repost grid photos, or stories, I only use this for my stories.

Marco Polo. Basically a video, walkie talkie. This app makes it easy to send out little video update, without depending on facetime, or texting a super long text. Life is pretty busy for everyone these days, so this gives your team, or network freedom to listen and respond on their own time.

Lightroom. So important. At least for me. This is where I upload photos and put my favorite presets on. Instagram is all about being aesthetically pleasing to the eye, similar colors, similar “filters”, and creative content. Again, there is a full version you can buy, and this one that I may upgrade as I work on my photography side of business, so I can get more editing features. For now, I just use it for purchased presets. You can purchase awesome presets on etsy.

Video Speed. I know you can use time lapse on IPhone, but sometimes I think that is just a little too speedy. With video speed, you can go up to 4x speed, of your regular video. Speeds it up enough, but also gets the point across. I often use this to show my skincare routine, or get ready with me’s.

Spacie. I purchased this app, there is a website that does Instagram caption spacing as well. Have you ever noticed that Instagram makes it hard to keep spacing, and make paragraphs in your Instagram posts? This just makes it WAY easier, perfect spacing, bold, italicize, etc.
Remember, these are all apps that I use, and are useful to my businesses, they may not be perfect for you, but I do think they are all worth a try! Some I use more than others, but I do use most of them daily. I would love any suggestion on apps that have made your lives easier! What are your favorites?
