With Mother’s day gone and past that means the Father’s day is right around the corner! For those of you that have kids out there asking why there isn’t a “kids day” it’s because every day is your day, literally every day! Let us try and enjoy a few hours of something we would like to do. Lol. Just kidding…kinda… With that being said let’s get into the content you came here for, the gifts dads really want, brought to you by a dad himself.
What dad doesn’t want more than tools or more materials to build you and the kids that special thing you have been wanting him to build?! Well, he is probably going to need to pick up a few things from your local home improvement store (Lowes, Home Depot, whatever his favorite is). Let’s be honest this is a win win for everyone so why not get him a gift card and let the man do his thing?
After a long week of work and helping to wrangle the kids (as best he can), I think we can all agree that an adult beverage or a few are needed on a Friday or Saturday night! You know what he likes best (beer, whisky, wine, etc..) or maybe he has been wanting to try a different style or flavor? Either way you can’t go wrong with adding some adult beverages to his day. If you are looking for a few ideas outside of the norm, check these out: Tavour, Flaviar, tastersclub, and Cheeky.
If he is a foody or takes a liking to dessert foods (isn’t that everybody?!) and you’re looking for something new or different to satisfy that sweet tooth, then look no further then these options: Salt & Straw ice cream, fat & weird cookie, and Big Fat Cookie.
Getting lost in another land, living in the world of some of the great people that have walked this earth, or just into self-improvement… If he is into reading books, then there is no better time than now to get him that book he has been wanting or a gift card so he can pick one out.
Or how about a two for one option…. Get him a book from Hooray Heroes that is customizable to him and your child(ren). Be warned, this one will make him have to hold the sniffles back and act like he isn’t getting all emotional, he will probably go with something along the lines of “my allergies must be acting up”.
If he is like myself or most Americans, he probably runs on little sleep and gallons of coffee to keep himself alive throughout the day. Maybe he has been wanting to try something new or something stronger? Here are a few ideas to spice up his coffee game: Black Rifle Coffee, Death Wish coffee, and drinktrade.
Does he constantly comment on his dad bod or is he sculpting the new “standard” for dad bods? Either way, he would probably look good in some Dadbod Apparel clothing. Teala and the boys got me a few for my birthday and I must admit they are very comfy and they let everyone know you’re a dad (As if his blood shot eyes, messy hair, stained clothing, and the kids around his legs didn’t already give it away). Seriously though, if he could use a couple more shirts to add to his vintage collection (shirts with holes in them that he can’t get rid of because it is comfy and has history), then check out their clothing here.
If you were racking your brain for ideas on what to do for him this year I hope these helped (even if they sparked other ideas that weren’t mentioned). If all else fails he is probably like me where he would be good sleeping in an extra 5 minutes and then just spending the day with you and the kids, get outside and do something or go for a hike. Hope this read finds you and your family well! I’ll have to drop by and do some more guest blogging (this was kinda fun) but until next time! Now back to your regular scheduled blogging.
