After having baby number two, we found less time to meal prep, or come up with dinner every night. We love cooking, but we also love healthy convenience. We still make our own breakfast, and we still BBQ every now and then, but we are now saving money having something easy on hand, when we really don’t want to cook. We aren’t ordering fast food, or going out to eat as often either.
So far we have tried two different meal delivery services. We wanted something that was healthy, premade, easy to track our macros, and that we could just toss into the microwave…without tasting like it was a microwave meal. We have tried Trifecta Systems, and Clean Eatz. There are things we love about both! I know you all want to know about price point, so I will go through both individually!

Let’s start with Trifecta Systems. We really loved the food with this one, they sent prepacked, fresh refrigerated meals, that you could freeze for 6 months if needed. They have prepared meals, and ala cart options. We chose to do ala cart. We were able to buy meats, carbs and veggies separately that way. Trifecta also puts you on a subscription, which was a love hate relationship for us lol We never had to remember to order food, but we also had to remember to edit, or skip weeks, we weren’t very good at that part. We also noticed, we could just buy frozen veggies a lot cheaper, than through trifecta, and it was just as healthy and speedy. So we ended up using trifecta to just get our meat, which was organic and high quality, and so so good. The steak was my favorite, the chicken breast was nice and juicy. We didn’t love the shredded chicken, as it was a little dry, and the turkey patties. If they run out of something they substitute with the closet item they have, that’s how we tried the turkey patties.
Overall, we really loved the quality of meats, but we were spending at least $120 a week, on just meat, and still having to run to the store to get veggies, which resulted in spending more money. It was a very easy way to track what we were eating though, as it states the macros on the packaging. I would still highly recommend, Trifecta.

Next up, Clean Eatz. I am really enjoying this one. They prepackage and freeze full meals, and you keep them frozen when they arrive. I am one to get pretty bored with meals, that are just straight carb, veggie, meat. These are meals like, jerk chicken rice bowl, barbacoa Beef, beef and broccoli, and all sorts of YUM. They best part is you can get 30 meals for only $175! No subscription, just order when you need it. I would suggest you have a lot of room in your freezer, or have a deep freezer to fit 30 meals. There are different “boxes” you can choose from that have, 5 sets of 6 meals, or you can completely customize! The only downside I can think of with this one for me, is some of them have dairy in them, but most of the time it’s just cheese that I can pick off! They also just partnered with h.i.p. meals to provide vegetarian meals! All you have to do is toss these in the microwave for about 4-5 minutes’ total, and you have a full meal prepped for yourself! They have, breakfast, keto, clean, vegetarian and more! If you are close to them, they even have a kitchen you can pick up at!
So far, we have been loving having a meal service. It may be a hefty price tag sometimes, but we are also saving so much money by not taking the family out to fast food or a restaurant, spending almost $40 a meal! If you have any question, please feel free to reach out! I have included the links so you can check them out for yourselves as well!
Do you use a meal service? Which one?
